On construction sites, small missteps can have serious consequences. At HRS Contracting, safety is always top of mind. Getting the job done right and on-time is important, but not at the expense of safety.
HRS is safety certified with Construction Safety Nova Scotia. We are COR certified, that is, we hold a Certificate of Recognition (COR).
HRS is WCB registered and fully insured.
Employee Safety Training Program
All of our employees complete a safety orientation as well as any necessary safety training and periodic refresher training as required. Our goal is to have our employees always ask, from a safety perspective: What are the risks, and what can we do to minimize the risk of injury? With safety as our priority, we ensure that at the end of the day, we all get to go home to our families.

HRS Contracting is committed to a strong safety program that protects its staff, its property and the public from incident.
Employees at every level, including management, are responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, in every job is necessary to achieve safety excellence. Management supports co-ordination of safety among all workers on the job site and commits to working in a spirit of consultation and co-operation with its workers in achieving a safe and healthful work environment.
Management supports participation in the program by all employees and provides proper equipment, training and procedures. Employees are responsible for following all procedures, working safely, and wherever possible, improving safety measures.
An injury and incident free workplace is our goal. Through continuous safety and loss control efforts, we can accomplish this.
